Each night, a backup snapshot is taken of your SupportAbility installation data and uploaded documents and moved to a remote server. Once it arrives at the backup server, the backup is decompressed, launched and tested to ensure that it is functional and can be used in the event of an emergency as part of our Disaster Recovery Plan. Each nightly backup is stored 30 days before being securely deleted.  

With this in mind, backups are created and stored for a period of 30 days for the purposes of:

  1. Allowing us to execute the disaster recovery plan and restore the SupportAbility service (usually to the previous nights backup) in the event of a service outage, or
  2. Allowing us to restore your data (usually to the previous nights backup) in the case where one of your Staff accidentally makes a serious error in the management of your organisation's data (e.g. deleting records accidentally).

Backups are included as part of the SupportAbility subscription fees and incur no additional charges.

ALL data (including backups) remains within Australia at ALL times as per the Australian Privacy Principles guidelines outlined in the Privacy Act of 1988.
