Award Interpretation

SupportAbility only exports timesheet (time and attendance) information for staff in Activities.  It does not provide award interpretation on these timesheets to calculate things like overtime, loadings and pay rates. 

In addition, many payroll systems such as MYOB and Xero do not provide award interpretation functionality either.  Thus, if your organisation requires award interpretation, there are three options available:

1. Replace the payroll system to a system that includes an award interpretation functionality such as Payroll Metrics
2. Purchase and implement a third-party award interpreter that can import timesheet data (generated by SupportAbility, and then output award interpreted payroll data for your payroll system)
3. Export detailed timesheet information from SupportAbility and calculate the award penalties (overtime, loadings and pay rates) manually.
