SupportAbility joins Jonas Software (Australia)

SupportAbility Software Pty Ltd has been building client management solutions to meet the unique needs of the Australian disability industry since 1999. Since the introduction of the NDIS in 2013, we've been focused on supporting service providers in managing their operations and compliance under the Scheme.

As per the announcement in a communication sent on the 4th of April, 2023, SupportAbility has recently joined the software company Jonas Software (Australia) Pty Ltd. Jonas Software is an operating group of Constellation Software, a global leader in building sustainable, successful software companies that deliver industry-leading solutions and services in specialised markets.

We are excited to join the Jonas Software team, and we are confident that this acquisition by Jonas will allow us to leverage their expertise, resources, and best practices to further enhance our product and service offering and deliver even greater value to our customers. We remain committed to meeting the evolving needs of the disability sector and delivering innovative software solutions for NDIS service providers.

Importantly, the acquisition will not affect your day-to-day interactions with SupportAbility, and SupportAbility will remain an autonomous business within the Jonas group of companies.  We will continue to provide your organisation with the same excellent customer service and support that you have come to expect from us, with the added benefit of the backing of Jonas to take our business to the next stage.

We have outlined some answers to many of the common questions that arise with announcements such as these below. Please feel free to send any additional questions to support@supportability.com.au.

We are committed to delivering the highest quality software solutions and services to our customers, and this acquisition will allow us to do so even more effectively. We look forward to continuing to work with you and serving your needs as we move forward as part of the Jonas group.

Why did Jonas acquire SupportAbility Software?

The success of Jonas Software to date has been based on its strategy to expand and improve companies that offer market-leading enterprise software and services in specialised markets.

After extensive research and due diligence, Jonas identified SupportAbility as a leader in the NDIS client management software space that they could support to realise its full potential.

Why has SupportAbility chosen to sell to Jonas Software?

To ensure the ongoing success and evolution of the SupportAbility product and service offerings.

SupportAbility conducted extensive research and due diligence to find the right partner to help us achieve our goals. Jonas was chosen as our preferred partner due to an alignment of values and their unique ‘purchase and hold forever’ business model.

The broad experience and support offered by Jonas provides the opportunity to expand and enhance the SupportAbility product to meet the evolving needs of the Australian disability sector.

Are there any changes to expect at SupportAbility?

Our expectation and goal is to maintain a ‘business-as-usual’ policy. The way you engage with SupportAbility will remain the same.

However, as part of this process, SupportAbility’s founder and CEO William Jamieson has made the difficult decision to leave the organisation to make way for a new CEO that will lead the company in this next chapter.

William will remain with SupportAbility in the role of CEO over the coming months whilst a new CEO is being recruited and a handover is facilitated. Apart from this key change, all other staff at SupportAbility will remain with the business and will play a key part in this transition.
