Productboard: A new way to see our roadmap and have your say

Productboard is the online portal where you can see what's coming for SupportAbility and tell us what matters to your organisation.

It gives every SupportAbility provider the same view of our roadmap and a direct way to share ideas with the product team. You don't need to wait for a webinar or a catch-up with your account contact to have your say.

Why we're using it

Productboard performs two key roles for us.
  1. Sharing the roadmap. You can see what we're working on now, what's planned next, and what has been released recently. This helps you plan ahead for changes that affect your team.
  2. Hearing from you. You can comment on features we've listed and submit ideas of your own. Your input helps us understand which changes will make the biggest difference to providers.
Please keep in mind that items on the roadmap aren't commitments to build or deliver something by a set date. Priorities can shift as we learn more, and Productboard is where you'll see those changes first.

How to have your say

There are two ways to share feedback in the portal, and we welcome both.

Add feedback to an existing item

Comment on a feature you can see. If a feature on the roadmap would help your organisation, or you have thoughts on how it should work, leave a comment on it. Tell us how you'd use it and what problem it would solve for your team. Comments are linked straight to that feature, so they count towards how much demand we see for it.

Submit an idea

If there's a new feature or enhancement that your organisation needs that isn't listed, use the Submit idea button. Describe what you're trying to do and why:

Our product team reviews every submission and, where relevant, either matches it to an existing feature or creates a new one if it's something we haven't considered yet and aligns with SupportAbility's product direction.

What happens to your feedback

Every piece of feedback is read by the SupportAbility product team.
We link your comments and ideas to the relevant feature, so we can see how many providers are asking for the same thing. This gives us a clear, honest picture of demand and helps shape what we prioritise.
We can't reply to every submission individually. The best way to follow progress is to check the roadmap, where you'll see features move from Planned to In Progress to Released.

Tips for great feedback

The more we understand about your situation, the better we can design a solution that works for everyone.
  • Start with the problem, not the solution. "Our coordinators spend an hour each week re-entering the same shift details" tells us more than "add a copy button".
  • Say who it affects. Let us know which roles in your team would use it, such as rostering staff, finance or support workers.
  • Share the impact. Time lost, errors made or compliance risk all help us weigh up priorities.
  • One idea per submission. This makes it easier for us to link each idea to the right feature.
  • Check the roadmap first. If the feature is already listed, add a comment to it rather than submitting a new idea.

Need help instead?

Productboard is for ideas and feedback about where SupportAbility is heading. If something isn't working, or you're not sure how to use a feature, please contact our support team rather than submitting it in the portal. That way we can get it sorted for you quickly.
Thank you for helping us make SupportAbility better for every provider. We look forward to hearing from you.
