NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limit Updates - 2023/24
When a new Pricing Arrangements and Price Limit Updates document is released by the NDIA (colloquially known as the NDIS Price Guide), there are many changes that go along with it.
Updates to the NDIS Price Guide outside of July 1 are now also common. This article is used to communicate any and all changes in relation to updates related to the 2023/24 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits to SupportAbility subscribers.

Our analysis of the updates to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 in version 1.3 (Released 7th of February, 2024), has been completed, and we can confirm the changes are limited to:
- 180 Support Items updated to Legacy Supports
These 180 Support Items are the Transitional Approach Group Support Items.
It is important to note that the 16 Legacy Support Items that were removed in the last update (version 1.2 in December, 2023), have been removed upon the release of this new Price Guide, i.e. Price Guide: 2023/24 - January 1st.
Expected release date
We expect to include this update in the upgrade to SupportAbility v8.3.3 on Tuesday evening, the 13th of February, 2024.

The 'NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24, v1.3' was published on the NDIS website last night (7th of February, 2024), along with changes to the Support Catalogue.
The team at SupportAbility are currently analysing the changes, and we will provide more information regarding this as soon as possible.
2023/24 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits v1.2 update added to SupportAbility v8.3 (published on the 7th of December, 2023)
2023/24 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits update - new Provider Travel Non-Labour Cost Support Items added and expected release date (published on the 29th of Nov, 2023)
Our analysis of the updates to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 in version 1.2 (Released 28th of November, 2023), has been completed, and we can confirm the changes are limited to:
- the addition of 7 new Provider Travel Non-Labour Cost Support Items, and
- the removal of 16 Legacy Support Items
The NDIA has also updated the Support Catalogue to include details of the PACE Support Category the relevant Support Items are now included in. We are updating our internal processes to utilise this data for this purpose, as we had engineered a manual solution to determine this previously.
The new Provider Travel Non-Labour Cost Support Items are as follows:
- 01_799_0102_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0110_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0119_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0126_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0129_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0134_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
- 01_799_0135_1_1, Provider travel - non-labour costs
It is important to note that the removed Support Items can continue to be added to Funding records, and they can also be allocated.
However, these Support Items have 'Valid To' dates displayed, given they were previously Legacy Support Items, e.g. 10_801_0133_5_1_D Supports in Employment - Weekday Daytime, Legacy support. End date 30/09/2023. These Supports will be removed upon release of a new Price Guide.
Expected release date
We expect to include these updates in the upgrade to SupportAbility v8.3 on Wednesday evening, the 6th of December, 2023.
Version 1.2 of the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 is valid from the 1st of July 2023, so the above changes will be applied to the current Price Guide in SupportAbility, e.g. Price Guide: QLD 2023/24 - July 1st.

Our analysis of the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 has been completed, and we are pleased to announce the expected release date of the new Price Guide, as well as a summary of changes.
Expected release date
We expect to add the 2023/24 NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits into SupportAbility on Thursday evening, the 29th of June, 2023. Noting that it will only be available to utilise after July 1st, 2023.
N.B. This will continue to be called the Price Guide in SupportAbility, e.g. Price Guide: QLD 2023/24 - July 1st
A planned outage of 10 minutes is expected on Thursday evening, the 29th of June, 2023, between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm, while this is being added to SupportAbility. Communications regarding this planned outage will be sent separately. This can also be viewed in the SupportAbility Scheduled Maintenance and Outage Register article linked below for reference.
What has changed in the latest Price Guide?
There are no changes that require in any additional development in SupportAbility, other than the addition of the new Price Guide.
Most Support Items have an increased price, and many have had a name change. 1 Support Item has been added, 394 Supports have changed prices and 167 Support Items have been removed (along with another 32 that were removed in the last Price Guide Update effective 5th of May, 2023). Further details are available in the Analysis Summary section below.

If your organisation uses either of these Supports, we recommend using the Allocations Report to locate Activities they are used in that fall after the 1st of July, 2023 and replace these with the relevant equivalent.

- 65 Support Items have changed names
